Aims

• Caring Hearts was formed to provide financial assistance and support directly to any family within the UK who have a child under the age of eighteen suffering from any type of disability, serious or terminal illness.

Objectives

• To raise funds on a case-by-case, tailored basis for children meeting the charities guidelines.
• This may include but is not limited to funds for medical, sensory and specialist equipment, recuperation holidays, educational days out and children’s last wishes.

Examples of Methods used to Raise Funds

• Charity pot collections at supermarkets and retails outlets
• Holding prize raffles in pubs and restaurants
• Event nights
• Parachute jumps
• Liaison with local profit and non-profit organisations

Finding Deserving Cases

• We contact doctors’ surgeries, hospitals, social workers and the like to find children that they feel would be deserving of financial support in any way.
• Word of mouth is also a key and many applicants find out about us from healthcare professionals who recommend contacting us.

In all cases children must meet the charities guidelines and their application must be backed and confirmed by a medical professional.
